Sail 4 Cancer is a sailing charity that was set up in 2001 by a group of keen sailors who had all lost a close friend or relative to cancer. It is primarily a provider of water based respite days and holidays for families affected by cancer. They also make grants to cancer care centres and support research into the positive effects of exercise and how it can help prevent cancer and aid recovery post diagnosis.  In 2021, a partnership with Wightlink saw families enjoying free trips to the Isle of Wight for much-needed respite breaks.

Ski 4 Cancer is a UK charity that raises funds to provide days out and short breaks for families affected by cancer. Many of the respite trips and short breaks have an alpine focus. From family days out at UK snow domes to longer holidays in the mountains (summer and winter), they give families something to look forward to during the most difficult of times.

Bike 4 Cancer was set up by a group of keen cyclists who have all lost a loved one to cancer. As a specialist cancer respite charity with a sporting focus, they provide cycle-related respite days and short-breaks for British families affected by cancer. They also make grants for research into the positive effects of cycling / exercise.

Run 4 Cancer provides respite to ease the burden of living with a cancer diagnosis or a recent bereavement. They recognise that a cancer diagnosis affects the whole family unit and not just the cancer patient. Consequently, respite programmes focus on not just the cancer patient but their immediate family as well.
